Feature walls, designed to the room

A wall design is the fastest way to give a room a focal point without moving anything structural. We design, finish and install decorative wall treatments — slatted and panelled feature walls, faux wood panelling, natural timber walls and applied wall décor — for residential and commercial interiors.

Everything is made to the wall it is going on, so panel widths, spacing and finish are set during design rather than cut down from a stock size on site.

Wall accent designs

Panels with a raised pattern, run as one continuous field across the wall rather than as separate boards. In both rooms below the pattern is picked out in two finishes — one on the raised face, a second on the ground behind it — which is what gives the wall its depth.

Finishes

Sixteen finishes for this line, from pale creams and wood tones through greys to black. Any pattern can be run in any of them, and the two-tone effect above is two finishes on one panel.

These are photographed chips and screens vary. Tell us the room and we will bring samples of the pattern and the two finishes together, which is the only way to judge how much relief the pattern will actually read at your lighting.

What we build

Slat and batten walls — vertical or horizontal timber-look members over a backing, the treatment in the photo at the top of this page. Works full-height or as a panel behind a bed, sofa or reception desk.
Panelled and moulded walls — framed panels, wainscot and applied mouldings in architectural foam, painted or finished to match trim.

Choosing between faux and natural wood

Both are available, and the right answer depends on the wall rather than on preference alone. Natural timber gives real grain, real variation and a surface that ages. Polyurethane components are moulded from real wood and are handled as a decorative system, which matters on tall walls, on awkward substrates and where a consistent repeat is wanted across a long run.

Finishes and color matching

Wall treatments usually have to agree with something already in the room — cabinetry, flooring, existing beams or joinery. Finishes are matched to a physical sample rather than a swatch name. See color matching and stain services.

Frequently asked questions

What is a slat wall?

A wall clad in evenly spaced vertical or horizontal members over a backing. The spacing creates shadow lines, which is what gives the wall its texture and depth.

Can a feature wall go over existing drywall?

Usually yes. The substrate and what is behind it decide the fixing method, which is one of the things we check at the consultation.

Do you use real wood or faux wood for walls?

Both. Natural timber where real grain and variation matter, and high-density polyurethane moulded from real wood where consistency across a long run, height or an awkward substrate matters more.

Can you match the wall to beams or cabinetry we already have?

Yes. Finishes are matched to a physical sample and approved before production.

Do you install, or supply only?

Both. We install across the regions we serve and supply components with documentation for your own installer.

How much does a feature wall cost?

It depends on wall area, the treatment, and the finish, so we quote per project rather than publishing a rate. Send dimensions and a photo of the wall and we will scope it.
