One wall, several quite different pieces of work

A slat wall, a moulded panelled wall and a stretch fabric wall are three different jobs over the same square footage, which is why we quote per project rather than publish a rate. What decides the fixing method is the substrate and what sits behind it, and that is something we check at the consultation rather than assume.

Everything is made to the wall it is going on, so panel widths, slat spacing and finish are set during design rather than chosen off a shelf. Most treatments can go over existing drywall.

Wall accent panel profiles

Three faces of the same slatted panel. The profile decides how the shadow between the slats reads — a hard line, a soft gradient or a rolled highlight — and the finish decides the color.

  • Wall accent panel with square-face slats over a black backing board

    Square face

Flat slats with square edges. The crispest shadow line of the three, and the one that reads most architectural in a long straight run.

  • Wall accent panel with concave fluted slats over a black backing board

    Concave

Slats scooped into a shallow concave face. The curve carries light down its length, so the shadow between slats softens instead of cutting.

  • Wall accent panel with half-round slats over a black backing board

    Round

Half-round slats with a highlight along the crown of each. No hard edge anywhere on the face, and the softest of the three under downlighting.

Finishes

All three profiles come in the eight finishes below, from pale sand through to near-black.

  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, warm tan wood tone
  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, pale sand wood tone
  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, dark charcoal-brown wood tone
  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, amber wood tone
  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, deep espresso wood tone
  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, honey wood tone
  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, light wheat wood tone
  • Wall accent panel finish swatch, pale greige wood tone

Swatches are photographed, and screens vary. Ask us for a sample before you settle on a finish, or send a photograph of the flooring, cabinetry or trim it has to sit next to and we will match to the sample rather than to a chart.

Wall accent designs

Panels with a raised pattern, run as one continuous field across the wall rather than as separate boards. In both rooms below the pattern is picked out in two finishes — one on the raised face, a second on the ground behind it — which is what gives the wall its depth.

  • Living room feature wall in a large raised ogee pattern, cream against taupe

Patterns

Eighteen patterns, from a tight vertical rib to open lattices and the large ogee shown above.

These are photographed chips and screens vary. Tell us the room and we will bring samples of the pattern and the two finishes together, which is the only way to judge how much relief the pattern will actually read at your lighting.

Textures, colors and finish

Wall work takes the same finish library as the ceiling lines, and where a wall has to agree with flooring, cabinetry or trim already in the room we color match to a sample rather than to a chart.
