Looking for a ceiling beam installer near you? We design, make, finish and install faux wood beams, and we are licensed in California, Nevada and Arizona.

The short answer

We install ceiling beams in Sacramento and Northern California within about three hours of Sacramento, the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, and Reno and northern Nevada. Southern California runs through our partners and Phoenix through our Arizona operation. Send your room dimensions and a photo or two for a free rough estimate.

What we install

More than straight beams

Our beams are high-density polyurethane, hand-finished to look like wood. They are decorative, not structural.

  • Faux wood box beams

Our most popular profile. Box beams mount over a wood cleat fixed to the ceiling.

  • Coffered ceilings

A grid of crossing beams, sized to the room and planned around lights and vents.

  • Faux I-beams

An industrial look, with its own profile options.

  • Faux wood logs

Round, rustic log styles for ceilings.

  • Exterior beams

Patios, covered entries and other outdoor ceilings.

  • Ceiling medallions

A finished detail at a light fixture or the center of a panel.

How it works

What happens from first call to final walkthrough

  1. Send the basics

Room dimensions, ceiling height, a photo or two, what you have in mind, and whether you want it installed or supplied. From that we can give a rough estimate at no charge.

  2. Consultation

For an exact quote we come out, measure and bring samples. Outside Arizona, an in-home consultation is $200, and the full amount is credited toward your order if you go ahead. Arizona projects are scoped by our Arizona team.

  3. Layout and finish

We settle size, spacing and direction, and how the layout meets lights, vents and walls. You choose texture and color from physical samples, and nothing goes into production until the finish is approved.

  4. Quote and production

You get an itemized quote. Standard profiles take about 4 to 6 weeks, the economy line 6 to 8, and premium custom work 8 to 10, before freight.

  5. Installation

Our crew protects the space, fixes mounting blocks into the structure, sets and fastens the beams, and treats the joints and ends.

  6. Walkthrough and cleanup

We walk the finished ceiling with you and clean up. Keep the touch-up material we leave, since it is the right color for small marks later.

Cost

What changes the price of installation

We quote per project, because these details change the number more than the size of the room does.

What we look atWhy it matters
Number and length of beamsMore beams mean more material, finishing and time on site.
Ceiling height and shapeA vaulted, sloped or two-story ceiling adds access equipment, time and layout work.
Profile and finishDeeper profiles and custom color matches take more work than standard options.
Lights, HVAC and sprinklersThe layout has to be set around whatever is already in the ceiling.
Supplied or installedAlways check which one a quote covers before you compare numbers.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I find a ceiling beam installer near me?

Start with the service area table on this page. Wherever you are, check that the contractor holds an active license for your state and ask how the beams will be fixed to the ceiling.

How much does faux beam installation cost?

We quote per project, because the number of beams, ceiling height, finish and what is already in the ceiling all change the price. A rough estimate from your dimensions and photos is free. Outside Arizona, a $200 in-home consultation is credited toward your order if you go ahead.

Do you install beams you did not supply?

Yes, our team can install materials you bought from us or sourced elsewhere. Tell us what you have when you ask for a quote.

Do you install real wood or structural beams?

The beams we make are decorative high-density polyurethane. Anything structural needs the appropriate licensed trade and, usually, a design professional.

How long does it take to get beams installed?

Allow about 4 to 6 weeks for standard profiles, 6 to 8 for the economy line and 8 to 10 for premium custom work, before freight. Your quote and schedule will cover installation timing for your project.

Can my own contractor install your beams?

Yes. We supply beams and installation guides for your own installer, and we can ship within the continental US.

Ready when you are

Send a photo and the room size. We will take it from there.

Room dimensions, ceiling height, a photo of the space as it is now, and whether you want it installed or supplied. That is enough to scope it and come back with a rough estimate — free.
