Foam Beams Installation Files

Foam Beams Installation Files

What the installation files cover

The install instructions PDF above is the document our installers work from, and it is the same one we send with an order. It covers the parts of a beam installation that decide whether the result looks right:

  • Mounting blocks — how the timber cleats that carry the beam are sized, spaced and fixed into joists or blocking, which is what actually holds the beam up.
  • Adhesive and fasteners — what to use, where, and how much.
  • Cutting and joining — polyurethane cuts like soft pine, so beams can be mitred, coped and butt-joined on site with standard woodworking tools.
  • Corners, ends and intersections — the joints that give a foam beam away when they are done badly.
  • Filling and touching up — closing seams and dealing with handling marks so the finish reads continuous.

If you would rather not do it yourself, we install throughout our service areas.
